THE GOLDEN WHEEL DREAM-BOOK AND FORTUNE TELLER
By Felix Fontaine
A comprehensive guide to fortune telling and dream interpretation written in 1862. This work is a product of its time, reflecting the Victorian fascination with divination and esoteric knowledge. It is said to be the most complete work on fortune-telling and interpretating dreams ever printed, containing an alphabetical list of dreams, with their interpretations, and the lucky numbers they signify. Also explaining how to tell fortunes by the mysterious golden wheel, with cards, dice, and dominoes. How to tell future events by the lines of the hands, by moles on the body, by the face, nails of the fingers, hair and shape of the head. How to find where to dig for water, coal, and all kinds of metals, by means of the celebrated divining or luck rod. How to tell the temper and disposition of anybody, how to tell fortunes with tea leaves and coffee grounds, signs of the Moon’s age, lucky and unlucky days, charms…and much more. This 163-year-old book is perfect for the Victorian era occult collector OR practitioner!
NOTE: This book is in very fragile condition and is a part of the Altar Room library because of its valuable information for practitioners of historical occult studies. There is a lot of shelfware, the book is not completely intact and there is damage to pages. The cover has an incredible artistic image of a fortune teller and their spirit guide. This is a hardbound book, with fragile soft cloth binding. The book has several diagram images, and some pages have written notes from its former 1800’s owner. A wonderful piece of history.
A great addition to your historic archive and library.
