1941 MAGIC IN HERBS - 1st addition
A wonderful book that explores all the edible herbs and how to use them in your daily life, cooking applications, and growing them.
Author Leonie de Sounin grew up in the Czech region of Bohemia, specifically in the Moravian-Slovak part under the Austrian Empire. She later worked in the Home Economics Department of the New Deal agricultural programs in the U.S., where she earned the affectionate nickname, “the Baroness.” Her inspiration for this book came after discovering her great-grandmother Sophie Anastasia’s diary, containing menus and recipes that she then adapted and included in Magic in Herbs
More than just a collection of recipes, Magic in Herbs is a blend of storytelling, cooking lore, and practical guidance. With recipes, tips on growing herbs, and an old-world charm, the book remains a treasure for both home cooks and collectors.
A First addition hardbound book with dust cover. The dust cover has shelfware, however the book itself is in wonderful condition. Published in 1941 with 208 pages.
A great addition to your historic archive and library.
