THE PILGRIM’S PROGRESS
FROM THIS WORLD TO THAT WHICH IS TO COME; DELIVERED UNDER THE SIMILITUDE OF A DREAM.
Rev. John Bunyan's The Pilgrim's Progress is a two-part Christian allegory, first published in 1678 and 1684 that remains influential. It tells the story of Christian, a man burdened by sin, who leaves the corrupt "City of Destruction" to seek salvation in the "Celestial City" (representing Heaven). The book emphasizes the importance of faith, the journey of personal salvation, perseverance through trials and temptations, and the battle between good and evil. The Pilgrim's Progress is considered one of the most significant works of religious English literature.
