VINTAGE HANDMADE LEATHER EFFIGY PURSE
Featuring a leather face effigy and gourd shell.  Acquired from Haiti.
Many cultures believe effigies have spiritual significance, potentially representing powerful spirits.
The leather is in great condition for its age, no cracking.  Gourde bottom has its natural coloring and markings. The large gourde shell is approximately 9” in circumference.  The purse stands approximately 12” tall.  There is a leather drawstring at the opening and a thinly braided shoulder strap.  The interior is unlined leather. Designed to be used.
